A woman gave birth to a baby girl Friday at a San Leandro, Calif., railway station, a Bay Area Rapid Transit spokesman said.

Britain's Royal Mail said a postal carrier has been arrested after he allegedly kept mail meant for hundreds of Ipswich, England, residents.
The Royal Mail said it opened an investigation with Suffolk Police after residents of two Ipswich streets complained about mail going missing, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.
The 36-year-old mail carrier was arrested and a raid on a property tied to the case discovered a significant number of letters and parcels dating back as far as four years, the Royal Mail said.
We can confirm a postman has been arrested in Ipswich over allegations of theft and delay of the mail following the recovery of a significant number of items at an address in the town, a Royal Mail spokeswoman said.

A British police helicopter pilot and two police observers reported they nearly collided with an unidentified flying object over Birmingham, England.
The pilot and the observers aboard the copter told the Airprox Board -- the body charged with recording such close calls and reporting them to military and air traffic control authorities -- that the aircraft had to swerve to avoid a collision with the object at an altitude of about 1,500 feet, The Daily Mail reported Friday.
The trio described the object as a small aircraft with continuous blue-green lights.

The owner of a London community center said a girl's 16th birthday party was ruined by about 60 gate crashing thugs who learned about the event on Facebook.
Daniel Sisilu, owner of the London Baba Foundation community center, said a group of about 30 teenagers tried to force their way into the party at about 10 p.m.

The Spanish coast guard found two sailors after a boat owner's wife called emergency services in London, officials said.
Louise Patel said she called the emergency number 999 from her London home after she hadn't heard from her husband, Jayesh, for more than 24 hours, The Daily Mail reported Friday.
Patel said she had last heard from her husband and his friend, a Belgian whose name was not released, when they reported rough waters during their journey from Majorca, an island off Spain, to the mainland Spanish port in Tarragona in Jayesh Patel's 44-foot motorboat.
Louise Patel was put in contact with the Thames Coastguard, which passed the information on to the International Coastguard Liaison Station in Falmouth, England.
The station alerted the Spanish coast guard, which deployed ships, helicopters and Spanish air force jets to find the missing sailors.
Spanish authorities said the pair were found adrift in a life raft 60 hours after they had been reported missing.

A student magazine at Britain's Cambridge University has raised controversy by publishing a topless picture of a female undergraduate.
Vivid Magazine, which has a distribution of more than 5,000 including students from all of the university's 31 colleges, printed the photo of the blond student, whose name was not printed, wearing only a black lacy thong and stockings while straddling the historic Clare College bridge, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.
The photograph is believed to mark the first time a Cambridge student has appeared topless in a university publication.

The editors of Dorian Magazine, which bills itself as a commercial lifestyle magazine for gay men, said they underwent procedures including nose jobs, lip augmentations, liposuction, facelifts and muscle enhancement surgery for the article, which appears in the current edition of the magazine, The Local reported Friday.

Police in the Netherlands said a woman crashed her car near The Hague while she was attempting to kill a spider inside the vehicle.
Authorities said the woman lost control of her car while attempting to kill the spider and the vehicle flipped over on the A4 motorway, Radio Netherlands/Expatica reported Friday.
Traffic was backed up on the A4 as a result of the crash and two lanes of the road were closed.
